Some men, who had never left their village before, decided to visit another village to arrange a marriage for one of their sons. They arrived in the evening.

The marriage was set for later that night. However, shortly after arriving, they saw the moon in the sky. They believed the moon belonged exclusively to their village and assumed that this other village had stolen it. Furious, they decided to return home without completing the marriage, accusing the villagers of theft.

The local leaders, seeing their ignorance, assured them that they would return the moon the next day, with a penalty of Rs 10,000 if they failed. Relieved, the men agreed to proceed with the marriage. The next day, the leaders showed them the moon over their village, and the men released them from the penalty.
