Ashmeen Bains

Consultant at CCF

With a background in Creative Writing from the University of Kent and curatorial experience at Galerie Isa, my practice lies at the intersection of folklore, environmental reverence, and artistic storytelling. From editing Tibetan exile narratives to illustrating the forgotten water guardians of Jodhpur’s stepwells, I’m driven by the need to archive and reawaken ecological memory embedded in oral traditions—one rooted in empathy, reclamation, and environmental imagination.

Hello, I’m Shreya J. I’m a wanderer and a storyteller. I love exploring—whether it’s walking through the city or immersing myself in nature—and collecting little things that catch my eye along the way. It could be a photograph, a sketch, a color, or even an object.

At CCF, I have the opportunity of curating visuals for diverse folklores that connect people and evoke a sense of belonging and identity. This work resonates with me deeply on a personal level, as I truly value the power of stories to bring people closer to their roots. Being part of this team brings me immense joy and fulfilment.
