Long ago, a king was told by a seer that his newborn daughter would one day meet her death at the hands of a tiger. Determined to escape this dreadful fate and save his daugter, the King built a tall tower and placed his daughter in a room at the top. The princess grew safe and well, far from the dangers of any wildlife

Time passed, and the hunters of the kingdom continued to keep all the tigers at bay. One day, a hunter bought a dead tiger to display at the palace, to showoff his might to the King. The princess when confronted with the lifeless tiger, boldly plucked its whisker and stated she was not afraid of it. However, tigers whiskers hold subtle venom, and this no oone in the kingdom knew. In her excitement the whisker pricked the princess and the poison entered he blood stream and she died then and there.

The King was overcome with grief. He instantly issued a proclamation and commanded that all slain tigers must have their whiskers burned. And, until this day, the people obey the commands of the king in this lore.
